Almaria was formed in January, 2009. A beginning of the band was decided through both singer Mike Redding & drummer/singer John Rombout. Shortly after the decision was made to pursue the band, Almaria's guitarist Matt Morrison joined in early January. Brent Monkhurst came along in mid January, former rhythm guitarist.
