Abandoned Dream

Abandoned Dream are a heavy metal band from ballarat, victoria, with David Grimson on Vocals/Lead guitar, Curt hains on lead guitar/backing vocal, Lucas Hains on Drums. Dave, Curt and Lucas been playing music together 6 years, since high school. They are currently looking for a new bass player. Since forming in 2005, they have played numerous times at Karova Lounge in ballarat, and also played to a crowd of 1000 people in Moonambel in late 2006. Brothers Curt and Lucas have been playing music together for as long as they can remember, and Lucas has been studying tertiary music during 2005-06.

Dave has been playing music since he was 5, starting on piano, and eventually finding guitar, bass and vocals. He has also studied music on a tertiary level, completing an advanced diploma in 2004.

At the end of 2006 a decision was made by the band to change direction, heading for a style they all love, heavy metal, in the vain of groups like metallica, iron maiden, and newer groups like dragonforce and trivium. 2007 will see this new direction take shape, with huge riffs and solos complimenting their already solid base of rock. With an original sound, and the power of metal at their fingertips, Abandoned Dream are a very exciting new talent, and 2007 could be their year.
