Emma-O update

Well I have been very busy with my band THE JOHNNYS over the past 10 months or so. So we took July off to do things like go on vacation, renovate houses, etc. But a lot of exciting things have happened, and continue to happen. We recently released our 13-song debut CD titled, "I Like it A Lot", and we are also the featured band for Spirit Magazine's annual music issue. Spirit is Canada's national magazine for Aboriginal arts & culture. The issue, featuring Veronica Johnny on the cover, is on newsstands as I type this.

The Johnnys were also on the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN). Veronica Johnny and I were interviewed for the show "Entertainment Beat", which aired some time in June, I believe.

I have also released a bunch of my own material. I now have the ability to convert cassettes to CD's, so I went on a bender and converted a whole whack of my old rehearsal tapes that contain songs I have never released before. Of course the sound quality isn't the greatest, but it's raw and real, and that's what I like. I've been trying to delete my old tracks and upload some of these new ones, but mp3.com's not letting me right now, for some reason. Anyway, I'll try later!
