Jack Flash is a Toowoomba born and based folk/punk band. A six-piece group with a unique sound of catchy, dancing tunes, lyrical genius and fancy flair. Originated in the fall of 2006 they consist of styles from 90’s punk and world music, with major influences of such class as Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Red Gum and The Pogues. The Members consist of Tom on the mandolin, banjo and microphone, Jake on electric guitar, back-up vocals and harmonica, Shai on acoustic guitar, Walsh on drums and lagerphone, Looey on fiddle, tin whistle and Blaise Flash on electric bass. In only this short time as a band, they are quickly charging there way into the music scene. Their recent EP release ‘Take Notice’, sold over 100 copies in less than 3 months, leaving fans begging for more. Since then Jack Flash have toured Queensland and New South Wales, been booked out every weekend playing shows in Toowoomba and Brisbane. Performed with such great Australian acts as Zombie Ghost Train, Bad Day Down, The Disables, The Wrath, Sydney City Trash and Catgut Mary. Jack Flash are currently writing new material & 2008 is said to be 100 times bigger than 2007.
