I have performed with a number of Adelaide bands since 1986 - (incl. Boating Accident, 1986-1990 and Cat Ballou, 1991-1993) - I have written and performed soundtrack music for theatre
- (incl. The Zoo Story (1990), Dracula (1993) and RAWKUS (1995) - local community television, and independent film since the early 1990s.
I cover a variety of musical styles.
Since 1993 I have been focusing primarily on composing and recording instrumental material in a fusion of styles such as progressive rock, hard rock, blues and folk.

Rob commences semi regular live work round Adelaide. Highlights include supporting Wintergreen at the Singing Gallery, McLaren Vale (25 March) ; supporting Glass Eye at the Territorian Hotel, Port Road (5 May) - first solo electric gig using 'live' guitar loops.

Won the "demo instrumental" category in the SCALA FOOM Competition (Festival Of Original Music) for "Blue Moon Territory" - a solo acoustic guitar piece.

Completed recording material for new album entitled "Rob McDade - Solo Instrumental Guitar" - with the unnoficial title "Terrafirma".
Almost an hour of music, featuring the two SCALA FOOM (Festival Of Original Music) Competition winners of 2004 & 2006 - "DH in a G String" and "Blue Moon Territory". Also one vocal piece (my first) "Pigs on the Wing" - by Roger Waters song from Pink Floyd's Animals (1977).
