Tanis

Tanis is a young musician singer/songwriter who is currently gigging around Sydney and has also been asked to play in Toronto, Canada at the NXNE Music Festival in June 2004.

With the success of her 5-song demo and the collaboration of producer Daniel Phillip Golightly (Red Ferret Studios), she is now recording new songs and getting airplay on FBI.

Her inspiration comes from classical music and the works of The Beatles, Loreena McKennit, Ben Harper and some ’60s groups.

Tanis’ true love for music stems from Celtic and Irish roots. Her music is a magical journey through the world of fantasy, fairies and folklore. She has now written over 60 songs varying from pop to Celtic, folk to rock to groove and continues experimenting with her voice and instruments and the ever-changing pace of today’s musical influences.

Celtic and catchy, her lyrics are often witty, yet powerful and paint many pictures. Tanis’ original sound is a unique and interesting blend of many musical styles, which she writes and performs, with great spirit.
