Chelmsford

Chelmsford is a three-piece band from Sydney, formed in June 2005. The band is currently an acoustic act consisting of lead guitar, viola/piano and vocals. Chelmsford is looking to expand their line up in the near future to include bass and drums.

Chelmsford has been playing around Sydney since August 2005, beginning with open-mic nights at The Empire Hotel, The Wentworth Hotel and The Harp. Most recently Chelmsford have played gigs at The Excelsior (Glebe), The Lansdowne Hotel (Chippendale) and headlined The Sandringham Hotel (Newtown)

While Chelmsford’s sound is hard to define, the band list the likes of Jeff Buckley, Bluebottle Kiss and Elliot Smith as some of their biggest influences.
