Propaganda Klann
After giving the world a taste of [COMFORT] in 2001 and 2002, Propaganda Klann got busy, and have returned with a new EP.
[XXXTRACURRICULAR SKOOL- EP]
A particularly cathartic recording [XXXTRACURRICULAR SKOOL- EP] is rather timely, considering all the mayhem in the world wrongfully caused by religion and oil.
We’ve seen the Aspinall inquiry in Queensland, and the timely dismissal of our last incumbent GG.
The chorus of ‘PHALANX_84 - Wally GraduATE Ol’ Dirty Mix’ or ‘Ol’ dirty’ as its been nicknamed deals head on with issues that for 20 years the Anglican Church considered it could ignore and dismiss.
[XXXTRACURRICULAR SKOOL - EP] is a uniquely eclectic scape comprised of a broad range of cultural instruments (including a gumleaf), complemented by various DnB breaks and tasteful soothing tunes and some shredding guitars.
This music cannot be classified as hip-hop, techno or dance as it has created a category of its own. It attributes a new and raucous sound without losing the upbeat rhythm that has generated the interest of many fans over the past 8 years.
While the array of rhythms and melodies make each track a fresh experience from the previous one, they certainly do not detract from the earthy lyrics that make Propaganda Klann one of Melbourne's most appetizing cultural feasts.
Thus sums up the EP [XXXTRACURRICULAR SKOOL - EP]
