Overpass History

Formed in Mid 2003, Overpass, an original melodic rock outfit from Sydney, Australia, have been working hard on developing their sound whilst growing a steady fan base across Australia and the rest of the world. The bands sound can be best described as a mix of bands such as Incubus, Foo Fighters, Silverchair and John Mayer. Overpass have played shows all along the east coast of Australia and were featured on the 2003 Falls Festival alongside acts such as Pennywise, Groove Armada, Xavier Rudd, Regurgitator, The Cat Empire, Cog and many more. Now, in 2006 the band has released their debut EP Insane. Produced and tracked with acclaimed production company Chartsong (The Veronicas, Small Mercies) the EP was also mastered by Don Bartley (Silverchair, Powderfinger, Metallica) at Studios 301 in Sydney. Recently Overpasss music has been featured on Foxtel and free-to-air television channels 9 & 10, adding to this a scheduled appearance on ROVE Live in mid Aug 06 and it easy to see why Overpass is on the rise up. Having released their debut EP to a sell out crowd at Sydneys Gaelic Theatre in August, 2006 will also see the band showcase their music all over Australia, the band is gearing up for an exciting year of touring
