SHINEY

Melbourne based Indie band Shiney bring you acoustic-based folky-pop music which runs through all the currents of emotion, but is always infectious and, put simply, fun.

Deanna Constantine has an amazing voice. One that makes your jaw drop and your heart swell up in your chest. Her songs are poetry. Her past history includes a hybrid of bands, most notably 'Novadust' and 'The Oppenhiemer Project', a Melbourne based ambient techno hybrid who received honourable mention for Triple J's Melbourne Unearthed.

Jo Derbyshire re-discovered her guitar a few years back and since then has single handedly (or sometimes in collaboration with UK Lyricist Justin Woodcock) churned out an amazing array of acoustic pop rock. Jo writes songs that are sometimes sweet, sometimes dark and always vocally challenging.

Mark Derbyshire fills out the whole Shiney thing in a beautiful way, with his vocals and guitar making the experience complete.

Strong original music, amazing harmonies and an ability to share the lead and keep it fun. With these powers combined, Shiney is developing into something that is truly unique and absolutely contagious...
