"The light from the stars is strong enough to reach us from billions of miles away,
Yet to behold their beauty is to recognise the darkness that seperates them."

The Peach Tree is the solo project of writer / composer / producer Angus Maiden from Melbourne, Australia. His quote above pretty much sums up his music: exploring the Dark side of Life and the human condition in a uniquely optimistic way whilst drawing from real-life experiences of altered states of concsiousness, an open third-eye and a constant questioning of the world around him and the numerous ideaologies he has been exposed to. Ranging in style from death metal to trance and everything in between, The Peach Tree's music is broad in scope and thematic in delivery - organising disparate moods and textures into lyrically cohesive and conceptual albums. His slightly out of tune voice carries an innocence that echoes the sweetness of a peach, yet his Dark messages are akin to the core of that same peach, which contains deadly doses of cianide. From 2005 to 2009 Angus released his music, all 9 albums, 4 EPs, and one single, completely free under a Creative Commons license. With the undertaking of his new label Tribal Dancing Kid in 2010, Angus has "gone pro" with both his own music and that of the artists under the label's wing, out of a necessity to eat and stuff like that.

Free downloads are available right here on MP3.com.au under a Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-Share Alike 2.5 Australia License. All other music is copyright Tribal Dancing Kid Productions.

I empathise deeply with your "band." Even the timing is freakish... keep it up though. You've got some material there that is really worth doing properly (not being degrading). You seem into music enough to warrant some singing lessons. I think compositionally you're going where you want to go but with some better execution you'll have a few more options on your production... that's my personal experience though... but if you listen to my Apparently Human stuff verses the dead turtles you'll hear the difference lessons can make... not that I'm a hotshot but I'm happy(er)... At times some of your lyrics really warrant more space. You're not dribbling shit and the contrast of letting some good vocals go and the music coming back in will reinforce that... blahblahblah from jimmy

Hey your music is quite reminiscent of Jean Michelle Jarre, he had a great album Oxygene! Even a bit of Vangelis thrown in also, especially in the vocal tracks mixing in with the ambience of the music eg how he did it in Somehow I'll find My Way Home (his hit after Chariots of Fire). Thanks for the thoughtful review, Ruby Rose (and FireSkye crew)
